It's been really difficult for many, but on the flip side, Online Business has grown and Video has exploded as a means to reach people.

So there was one tool I bought this year (in May) that earned me a massive ROI!

You may be expecting me to tell you about a Video gadget .. well not this time. Though this tool is, in a way, Video related.

The new tool was my shopping cart - ThriveCart.

First up .. Brexit

Last week I took the day off to head to Westminster, it was yet another huge voting day in the Brexit process plus there was a large pro-Brexit demo.

I must admit I have become addicted to flicking between news channels and social media observing every twist and turn. Got to stop that!

But I was NOT demonstrating! I wanted to witness with my own eyes (and camera) what was going on plus shoot some stock clips / stills of the 'circus' surrounding the vote.

What I love about running an online business via video is that whenever I want to take a day off and go into town to soak in the vibe I can!

After all, whatever your views - it is history in the making that will be studied in schools in years to come.

I do admire the calmness of the TV News Presenters who are set up near Parliament with folks...

So, a quick update from Spain!

I recently signed up to an Email List and the confirm Email I received contained a useful Gif!

You see an issue right now is getting Emails you send to your subscribers out of their Gmail Promotions tab and into the Primary tab where they are more likely to be read.

Even if you are sending Newsy Emails full of goodness and low on promotion - you can still end up under Promos for many different reasons.

So here is my own GIF showing you what to do .. if my Email landed in your Promo folder, please (if you wish) drag it from your Promo to your Primary Folder then click YES to future Emails.

Using the app? Press down on Email to select it .. then .. top right corner ... move to ..

That way you won't miss my mails! You can always drag it back if you want.

You see GIF's do have a use other than just fun memes, and the fact they can be compressed small and added inside Emails is like having a mini-Video inside your message.

So .. Vacation season is GO!

I will be heading to the Island of Mallorca, Spain - how about you?

Now you may think vacations are only for spending quality time with your friends and family & sipping your favorite beverage by the beach ..

But .. they are also handy for shooting at least ONE useful Video for your Business!

You see on vacation you usually have access to better locations, better shooting conditions and fresh inspiration.

So seize the chance, and the cool thing is ... you don't need to carry cumbersome cameras .. your iPhone / Smartphone will do nicely!

Make it feel personal and like a Vacation Video.

But how to link your Business niche with your Vacation?

Let me cut to the chase ..

Much as I like to geek out on a good piece of Video gear .. what annoys me is Gear Obsession, and roaming from one Gear review video to the next wondering if you should even bother with making a Video unless you have exactly the right gear :(

Those Gear reviewers do an awesome job with getting their own Videos Ranked via keywords and earning revenue from Ads and affiliate links.

Of course, in moderation, when you are after a specific bit of gear, seeing it in action and hearing a reviewers opinion is certainly useful.

But if you overdose on reviews you end up constantly spending money not earning it (they do!)

What I like way more is using the gear you already own to create an Asset that can pay for lots more gear, and in fact pay for your house and vacation!

So, the Best Video Accessory (and excuse the verbal twist here) is having your own Online...

One question I often get asked about Creating & Selling Big Hit Online Courses made with Video ...

"Jules - There are so many Video courses on a similar topic to mine out there - Why would someone choose to learn from ME?"

Let me help ..

When I decided to teach what I had learned about Online Courses (I have sold around 7,000!) .. I looked around and obviously there are many courses out there about Online Courses, several in the $997 - $1997 price range!

But when I looked at the folks who had created them I didn't feel that much affinity with them as a teacher.

I am going to paint a broad picture here ... since I respect all of them.

Let me paint a caricature instead:

1. The Business / Financial coach

They started with an Online Business already, they weren't short of cash and they don't make their own Videos but have a team. They latched onto the big NEED of people wanting to create an Online Course and they are brilliant at filling that need. They wear suits a lot :) and I...

I was just checking my Vimeo Pro Account.

I have made 1,095 Videos .. but I only have 6 followers!

"What is this madness? What a flop you are Jules!"

Not so!

The reason is .. 99.9% are set to Private - they are Online Course tutorials, or Sales Videos or Welcome Videos related to PAID FOR Online Courses.

What's my point here? Certainly it's not that you shouldn't be creating Free content and Free training and showing your awesomeness.

But what worries me is folks who are so obsessed with creating Free Videos and how many YouTube subcribers they have - they never actually put anything behind a paywall.

They are scared or paralysed by the notion of charging, or they keep waiting until they have 10000 YouTube Subscribers (insert names of other social networks here) before they create anything to sell - or dare mention they have something to buy.

Forget that - you can't truly profit from Educational Video (please don't rely on Adsense) if you don't have this ..

Clue: it isn't a fancy...
